The Valentine’s Day partying continues with presents for the baby dolls!
Happy Heart Day
These kids are all set for Valentine’s Day this year. Daddy’s in Houston, so we went for dinner at Fuzzy’s, then stayed up late signing Valentines for friends and decorating their boxes. So fun!
100th Day Granny
The 100th Day of School is upon us, which is a BIG deal when you’re in Kindergarten. Evie was all about dressing up as a 100 year old lady for school today. She makes a great centenarian and has done a fabulous job in her first 100 days of kindergarten!

Rooster's Roadhouse
We love our J&Js Pizza on the Denton Square, but we’ve found a new favorite Straka hangout - Rooster’s Roadhouse just off the square. The kids get mac-n-cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches and Daddy and I get burgers and chicken fingers. Perfect comfort food, especially in the wintertime. On this particular visit the kids got to sign their name on the wall. The Straka kids left their mark!
Denton Christmas Tree
There used to be a bigger tree here, one that Sam would climb when we’d come downtown. Now it’s a little tree, but they decorate it at Christmas and we like that, too.

As soon as Turkey Time is over, it’s time to go tree shopping! It’s one of our favorite days of the year. Tonight, we decorate the tree!

She had fun in the mud, then went straight to the tub!

Evie had a blast swimming after school with her new BFF Ailey and Ailey’s two sisters Nora and Clara. It’s even more fun for her at the pool now that she’s made friends in Kindergarten. They jumped in the pool together over and over and over.
Hat Day - Go Royals!
Kids got to wear hats to school today if they paid $1 to support the school choir. Luckily, we had two Royals hats from Sam’s three seasons as a KC Royal.
